Privacy and cookies

This explains what we collect when you visit omrello.com or join the waitlist, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Omrello isn't open yet, so right now that's very little.

Who we are

Omrello is responsible for the personal data described here (we're the "controller" under UK data protection law).

Questions or requests: hello@omrello.com

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
  • Which bills you'd pay by card, if you choose to tell us after joining.
  • Which sign-up form you used on the page and when you joined.
  • How the site is used, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages viewed, roughly where you are (country or city), device and browser type, and how you found us. This comes from Google Analytics.

We don't ask for your name, card details or bank details on this page.

Why we use it

  • To email you about Omrello's launch and early access. We rely on your consent, which you give by joining. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • To plan the service, for example how many people want to pay rent versus school fees. We rely on our legitimate interest in building something people want, and only look at these answers in total.
  • To understand how the site is used, only with your consent to analytics cookies.
  • To keep the waitlist secure and stop abuse such as fake sign-ups, which is in our legitimate interests.

We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Our hosting and database providers, which store the waitlist for us and can't use it for anything else.
  • Google, for analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • An email provider, when we send launch emails.
  • Google Fonts, which supplies the page's fonts and so receives your IP address. It sets no cookies.

Some of these providers may handle data outside the UK, including in the United States. When they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK-US data bridge) or the UK's approved contract terms to keep it protected to UK standards.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist details: until you ask us to remove you or unsubscribe, and no longer than 12 months after Omrello opens if you don't create an account.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months, then Google deletes it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of what we hold about you;
  • correct it, or delete it;
  • stop using it, or object to how we use it;
  • send it to you in a format you can reuse.

Email hello@omrello.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

We only use one strictly necessary item, which remembers your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are off unless you press Accept, and you can change your mind at any time.

  • omrello:cookie-consentAlways (strictly necessary)

    Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask on every visit.
